In all honesty, I have a soft spot for Michael Flatley. When I was a child, and taken regularly to the local Lincoln Center, some of the best acts I sat through were the Irish Dance Troupes. There was just something neat about it...Possibly the skirts on the female dancers.... Still. Performance art is still performance art, and therefore desrves all the mockery it gets!
And Mystery Science Theater 3000 had a great excuse to take a pot shot at the Lord of the Dance. LotD stars Michael Flatley, MST3K stars Michael Nelson. See it? You couldn't write a better set-up than that....
